I wish you well on your shoe finding journey and hope you are able to find something that works well for you! I was thinking on the way home, how bad is a little heel lift when the boots are soft? I've had it before with stiff leather boots and that kills your feet, but it's probably not too bad with synthetic/Gore-Tex boots . I currently do a lot of difficult hikes in BC with a lot of rocks, big roots and scrambling. Think they currently have the IV already, but Mammut hiking boots are really great. We would like to show you a description here but the site won’t allow us. So when I needed a more dedicated low-cut hiking shoe, I went back to Mammut and ordered two pairs to compare. In preparation for this year's hiking season I'd like to clean and re-proof them, if that's even the correct term.
